6 Special (Reset) Function

This module provides an easy dial to quickly access the most commonly
performed service functions.
It offers coding, reset, relearn and more service functions, to help vehicles get
back to functional status after repair or replacement. Available tests vary by
vehicle manufacturer, year, and model.
Due to continuing improvements, the available service functions are subject to
change at any time. To enjoy more service functions, you are suggested to
check for updates on a regular basis.

6.1 DPF regeneration

This function can help remove PM (Particulate Matters) from the DPF filter by
using combustion oxidation methods (such as high temperature heating
combustion, fuel additive or catalyst reduce PM ignition combustion) to keep the
performance of the filter stable.
It needs to be performed in the following cases:
• The exhaust back pressure sensor is replaced.
• The PM trap is removed or replaced.
• The fuel additive nozzle is removed or replaced.
• The catalytic oxidizer is removed or replaced.
• The DPF regeneration MIL is on and maintenance is performed.
• The DPF regeneration control module is replaced.

6.2 Parameter setting

This function enables you to set certain parameter, such as VIN, injector data
and EIN etc.

6.3 Cylinder cut-off, compression test

This function can cut off certain cylinder when the engine is running to identify
which one is working improperly. Users can judge whether certain cylinder is
normal or not by separately cutting off certain cylinder and checking the working
