1. DESCRIPTION
TIC18Ri
The
is a digital thermostat for easy installation and implementation. It can be configured for
both heating and cooling. It has a internal rechargeable battery, buzzer (audible alarm) and a output for
dialer to indicate lack of energy, temperature outside the range or sensor not working. Allows
configuring two setpoints (primary and secondary) and recording the maximum and minimum
TIC18Ri
temperatures registered.
allows deactivating the outputs manually using the key.
2. APPLICATION
• Boilers
• Ovens
• Heaters
• Freezers
• Counters
• Refrigerated balconies

4. CONFIGURATIONS
4.1 - Control temperature adjust (SETPOINT):
1 Setpoint (
disabled)
- Press
SET
for 2 seconds and
will appear.
- Wait 2 seconds and the adjusted control temperature will appear.
- Use
SET
to change the value.
- Wait 4 seconds to record and return to the normal operation.
2 Setpoints (
enabled)
Adjust the setpoints primary and secondary in the advanced menu.
4.2 - Setpoint exchange
- With
enabled, press
SET
for 2 seconds and it will appears the current setpoint (
when the key is released the setpoint is changed.
4.3 - Acces code
To enter the access code:
- Press
SET
or 4 seconds to appear
- Wait 2 seconds and it will appear
.
- Use the
SET
key to insert the code
.This operation must be performed within 4 seconds,
otherwise the ambient temperature indication automatically returns.
After entering the access code:
- Press
SET
as many times as necessary until you reach the desired parameter.
- Wait 2 seconds and then appears the adjusted value.
- Use the
SET
key to modify the value.
- Wait 4 seconds until the new value is recorded and the instrument returns to normal operation
(temperature display).
Note:
After entering the access code, be careful not to leave the
between parameter changes for more than 15 seconds.
If this happens, the message
will be displayed and the access to the adjust mode is automatically
blocked, requiring entering the code again to make any changes.
4.4 - Unit selection (°C/°F)
To define the unit that the instrument will operate,
- Press
for 4 seconds, it will appear
SET
- Wait 2 seconds and
will appear .
- Use the
SET
key to insert the code
otherwise the ambient temperature indication automatically returns.
After entering the access code:
- It will apperas the
indication followed by the atual unit (
- Use the
key to change the unit. This operation must be performed within 4 seconds After
SET
configuring the unit,
appears and the ambient temperature indication automatically returns.
Every time that the unit is changed, the parameters should be reconfigured, since they assume the
"standard" values.
4.5 - Manual outputs disable
Press
SET
for 10 seconds, then appears the current status(
SET
the status exchange occurs.
In the Off state, the display shows
and the temperature alternately.

4.8.1 - Parameters description
Value of main setpoint for temperature control
It is the difference of principal temperature (hysteresis) between turn on and turn off the THERM
control output.
This function allows to configure the operation mode of the instrument (heating or refrigerating).
It is the minimum time that the controller output will keep turned off. This delay starts when the
output is turned off and also when the instrument is powered on.
Indication displacement. It allows compensate eventual shunt in the temperature reading.
Allowed range to the final user to adjust setpoint (minimum locking).
Allowed range to the final user to adjust setpoint (maximum locking).
This function allows enabling or disabling the buzzer.
When the temperature reaches the setpoint minus this value the alarm goes on.
When the temperature reaches the setpoint plus this value the alarm goes on.
Inhibition time for the buzzer and ALARM output when the controller is powered on.
ALARM output pulse time. If set to zero the output keeps continually ON.
Time between eachALARM output activation.
State of THERM output with sensor not working. The output inhibition takes priority over this
parameter.
This function allows to enable the secondary setpoint.
Value of secondary setpoint for temperature control.
Difference of secondary temperature (hysteresis) between ON and OFF the THERM control
output.
5. SIGNALLING
THERM
- Turned on NO contact
- Sensor disconnected or temperature out of range;
- Outputs manually disabled
.
Buzzer
- Lack of energy, temperature out of operating range or sensor error;
Buzzer activation type and time interval indicate the following situations:
- Device not powered: 2 beeps every 3 seconds;
- Sensor not working or temperature out of range: 1 beep per second;
. when the key
pressed when the maximum and minimum values being displayed,
SET
and the values are restarted.
