Detergent drawer guidelines

The automatic dispenser models provide a three-compartment dispenser: two compartments for
autodispensing and another part for manual input. With the automatic dispensing option on, the washing
machine dispenses an adequate amount of detergent or fabric softener for each load. See below for details:

A. Auto detergent compartment
- Use liquid detergent only.
B. Auto softener compartment
- Use fabric softener only.

C. Manual detergent compartment
- If necessary, add detergent manually as

instructed by the detergent manufacturer.
You can use powdered and liquid detergent
in this compartment.
- To use the detergent in this compartment,
make sure the auto-dispensing option is off.
(For more information on turning the auto-
dispensing off, see the "Dose per Wash" and
"Dose per Rinse" section on page 44.
- Do not exceed the max line (D) when
adding detergent.
CAUTION
• Do not add an excessive amount of detergent.
This may affect the washing results adversely.
• Do not use any cleaning agents for cleaning
the drum. Chemical residue in the drum
deteriorates the washing performance.
