Introduction
This set offers you every scope for listening
in your Car to stereo reproduction of FM pro-
grammes or stereo cassettes.
With the aid of an ingenious mechanical me-
mory you can
previously tune in to 6 subse-
quent
stations
divided
over the three wave
ranges. Operation
is simple and fully meets
any demand on safety and comfort.
Radio
Manual tuning
a) Switch on the radio with knob (4) and also
use It to control the volume.
b) Select
the
wave
range
by
depressing
turnolock key (15) once or several times until
the colour on indicator () corresponds to
colour code(s )of the desired wave range.

Tuning with the turnolock push-button
Turnolock
button 5) allows tuning in perma-
nently to six stations:
e Operate the apparatus as described under
a), b) and c).
e Then depress turnolock button (45) again,
pull out knob (8) and tune to the next station
desired, etc.
e If you now wish to trace one of the preset
stations, it is sufficient to depress turnolock
button(5)so many times that the relevant pre-
'selection
position
shown
by indicator (6)
(colour and digit) is obtained.
FM stereo reception
Stereo indicator (4)lights up when you receive
a stereo
transmitter,
provided
that
button
(3) has not been depressed. If the signal de-
creases,
your
receiver
automatically
and
gradually
changes
over
to
monaural
re-
production.
If this
stereo
signal
should
strongly
vary
on
account
of the
reception
conditions, it is advisable to change over to
permanent
monaural
reception
by depress-
ing button (3).
Trimming the aerial
Opening (7)in the right-hand part of the scale
is used for trimming the aerial, which has al-
ready been done when the set was mounted
into the car. Do not change this adjustment.
Interference Absorption Circuit (1.A.C.)
The quality of FM stereo
reception
on your
radio
has
been
strongly
improved
by the
application
of
an
Interference
Absorption
Circuit.
This
circuit
eliminates
practically
all interferences, affecting the FM-signal.
Cassette player
Cassettes
There are two types:
e Compact
cassettes:
These
can
be
used
for recording
at home
and playback in your
car.
They
are
available
in three
versions,
the C60, C90 and C120, providing a playing
time of 2x30, 2x45 and 2x60 minutes respec-
tively.
e Musicassettes:
These
are
prerecorded
cassettes available, both in mono and stereo,
in a large assortment
and with various play-
ing times.
The cassettes can be removed or turned over
at any moment,
subsequently not only at the
end of the tape.
Store the cassettes in their boxes or in cas-
sette racks. Do not expose the cassettes to
heat or direct sunshine and keep them away
from loudspeakers.
Cassette player indicator
Pilot lamp(44)indicates various functions.
d) Continuous
light. means:
cassette
play-
back or fast wind.
e) Intermittent
light
means:
cassette
play-
back
or fast wind
terminated;
you
hear
a
radio programme;
fully depress eject button
(3)and remove the cassette.
f) No light means: radio reproduction.
Operation
e Switch on the set with knob (1).
e Slide the cassette into cassette holder (11)
with its open side to the right and the full reel
towards you. Playback now starts automatic-
ally and pilot lamp 44) burns continuously.
