different STK providers may provide different services

STK (SIM TOOL KIT) allows the smartcard-based
SIM to run its own applications.
The STK card can receive and send GSM short
message data, acting as the interface between the SIM
card and short messages, as well as allowing the SIM
card to run its own applications. These functions are

and adopt a user-friendly text menu to replace the
mechanical "dial - tune - answer" mode, allowing you
to do complex information retrieval operations or
transactions with ease by pressing the keys.
STK provides a simple, user-friendly, developable
platform for the SIM card value-added services. STK-
supported mobile phones provide an additional STK
menu, the options of which are read from the STK
card by the phone and cannot be changed. Depending
on the type of STK, the menu options may be varied
and may be changed through your network operator.
