- Page 2 Note that separate conductors for connecting the DB405 should be used. If you are to order an encoder as a spare part for mechanical limit switches, please contact FAAC Nordic AB. Installation of DB405 The encoder is a circuit board that together with a magnet replaces mechanical limit switches. The encoder transforms the magnet’s position to a voltage which then EP104 converts to a number of degrees.
- Page 3 INSTRUCTION MANUAL DAAB ENCODER DB405 • Left or right encoder position In order for EP104 to determine that the motor is moving in the correct direction, the settings in L-channels must be made correctly. To find out which drive unit to be left or right, see picture below. Top mounted drive unit with one motor should be set as right.
