A number of MIDI settings need to be made when
you want to transfer performance data between the
computer and the instrument. The PC Mode item
can conveniently make multiple settings for you in
one operation. Three settings are available: PC1,
PC2, and OFF.
This setting is not necessary when transferring
song or backup files between the computer and the
instrument.
* Set the PC mode to PC2 when using Digital Music Note-
book.

Remote Control of MIDI Devices

You can also use this instrument as a remote control device for the Digital Music Notebook application on
your computer (via the USB connection)—controlling playback, stop and transport functions from the
panel.
■Remote control keys
To use the remote control functions, simulta-
neously hold down the lowest two keys on the key-
board (E0 and F#0) and press the appropriate key
(shown below).
