5-9 Network Setup
Ethernet (Port Setup)
—Select to connect the Fiery EX2101 to an Ethernet network.
Enable Ethernet
—Select an appropriate setting according to the settings of the
Transmission Speed
network to which the Fiery EX2101 is connected.
When you select Auto Detect, make sure that the auto-negotiation settings for

speed and duplex are configured for the network port to which the Fiery EX2101 is
connected. Similarly, when you select a different setting such as 100 Mbps
Full-Duplex, make sure the same settings are configured for the network port.
Protocols
You can change AppleTalk, IPX/SPX, and TCP/IP protocol settings for the
Fiery EX2101. It works in conjunction with the Windows XP Local Area Connection
Properties Control Panel. When you click the Modify or Advanced button next to the
setting, the system opens the Windows XP Local Area Connection Properties Control
Panel, where you complete the settings.
By default, the AppleTalk, IPX/SPX, and TCP/IP protocols are installed and enabled.
