To prevent the OPTIMOD from disconnecting and being unable to reconnect if the terminal connection
drops out temporarily, set the TIMEOUT value to the maximum expected duration of the dropout (in
minutes). Default is 4 minutes. Note that the timeout reverts to the default each new connection; if you
change the timeout for one connection, it is not retained for the next one.
RDS Terminal Commands
