Discontinue charging after the battery has been fully

charged,
battery
performance will degrade.
Do not expose the pack to water or fire, or attempt
to open it.
Do not drop the pack; excessive shock will degrade
battery performance.
When
the pack is not use, remove
it from the
equipment and store the battery in a cool, dry place
to avoid premature discharge.

Replace the battery pack with a new one when the
operating time of the completely charged battery
pack
has noticeably
shortened.

allowed to short circuit.

This
rechargeable
nickel-cadmium
battery
is
designed
exclusively
for use
with
KENWOOD
transceivers. Use the battery pack only with that
equipment whose instruction manual recommends
its use. To prevent possible damage do not attempt
to use the pack with other types of transceiver or
chargers.
The pack is not charged at the factory. Charge the
pack before use.

If after purchase or extended storage, the battery
capaci
is
found
to
be
low,
repeat
the
charge/discharge cycles 2 or 3 times to restore the
battery to its full capacity.

Recharge the battery at ambient temperatures of
5°C~40°C (41°F ~104°F).

It is possible to charge the battery pack while it
is ON or OFF the radio.
The battery pack can not be charged from
transceiver's DC IN terminal.
CAUTION
Clean the terminals of the charger and the PB-14
with a soft cloth before charging.
