Users can adjust or enable specific counterfeit detection features, including IR, UV, MG, and Double Level (DBL). The machine also identifies unfit notes due to conditions like SOIL, DEINKED, STAIN, GRAFFITI, COMPOSED, MULTILATION, CRUMPLE, LIMPNESS, TEAR, and TAPE. Error codes such as NO RESULT (UV), NO RESULT (CIS), IR(XXX), MG(XX), and UV(XX) indicate issues related to these detection processes.
To clean and maintain your Hitachi iH-100 banknote counter, it is recommended to clean the machine sensors at least once a day. Always turn the power off before cleaning the machine.

The machine can also recognize serial numbers of banknotes by OCR and read both serial numbers on the note. Additionally, there is an option to turn on or off SN Reading, SN Compare, and SN Black-list.
To update the machine, select Upgrade from the USB menu. Then, choose the file for special upgrading by selecting Select.
Yes, the Hitachi iH-100 is able to connect to external devices. It supports interfaces for LAN, USB, (EX-DP), and Printer. It can also connect to an External Display and a PC via USB-H. Data can be exported to a printer or PC using USBH or ENET.
