@ POWER (STANDBY) switch
NOTE:
* The unit's POWER switch is geared to selecting the transformer's
secondary and so even at the STANDBY position, the unit's
circuitry will work as long as the power cord is connected to
@ power outlet.
° . For U.S, and Canadian models: when turning on the power, the
unit will be inoperative for about 3 seconds.
@ COUNTER RESET button
Resets the tape counter reading to ''O00".

for the U.S. model.
MODE switch (RELAY |< P Il/COPY)
Use this switch for the following operations:
RELAY 1 <4 & Il:
This position is used for relay playback. The unit is set to
relay playback mode, when the [COPY] indicator is not
displayed. In this mode relay playback from Deck ! to Deck
ll or Deck il to Deck | is possible by pressing the PLAY button
of one deck and then the PLAY button of the other deck.
(See page 9.) For normal playback the unit must be set to
relay mode.
COPY:
In this mode tape copying from Deck | to Deck Il is possible.
~ For U.S., Canadian and Saudi Arabian models
displayed. Deck | is for playback and Deck Il is for recording.

@ SPEED switch (NORM Mf /HIGH P) }
NORM if Lights
HIGH FI Flashes
Press this switch to select the desired tape speed for
flashes. Normal speed is selected when the indicator lights
continuously.
