INSTALLATION
When installing the deck, avoid locations with
high temperature or humidity, and be sure that
the location is well ventilated.
Do not install the deck in locations subject to direct sunlight,
or next to a space heater or other heating device, since the
finish or internal parts may be affected adversely.
Malfunctions may also result if the unit is installed in a humid
or dusty location. Also avoid installations next to kitchen
counters or other places subject to oily smoke or heat.
@ if you place the unit directly on top of an amplifier, it may
pick up humming or other noise. Also, if the amplifier
generates a large amount of heat, the unit may break
down,
@ if you place the unit near a television set, it may pick up
noise which may be recorded as a whistling tone on the
tape. In such a case, either install the unit away from the
television set or switch OFF the television set.
DEW CONDENSATION
When the unit is moved from a cold to a warm room, or the
temperature changes quickly, condensation will form on the
mechanical parts and this will affect the performance of the
tape. In such cases, leave the unit in a warmer atmosphere
for about one hour or change the room temperature
gradually.

NOTE:
When installing the tape deck, do not place a cloth over the top
or block the ventilation openings in any other way.

This equipment generates and uses radio frequency
energy and if not installed and used properly, that is, n
strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions,
may cause interference to radio and television recep-
tion, It has been type tested and found to comply with
the limits for a Class B computing device in accordance
with the specifications in Subpart J of Part 18 of FCC
Ruies, which are designed to provide reasonable protec-
tion against such interference in a residential installa-
tion, However, there is no guarantee that interference
will not occur in 2 particular installation.
If this equipment does cause interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turn
ing the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to
wy to correct the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
+ reorient the receiving antenna
* relocate this equipment with respect to the receiver
+ move this equipment away from the receiver
* plug this equipment into a different outlet so that
equipment and receiver are on different branch cir-
cuits.
