PRESET TUNING
Press the POWER switch to the ON position.
Select TUNER with the INPUT SELECTOR.
Be sure to turn the TAPE 2 MONITOR button OFF when listening to
AM or FM broadcasts.
At the same time, you can also memorize stations under the following
five different genre names according to the material played on the
station. (Custom memory)
The five following genres are available.
ROCK
PoP
JAZZ
NEWS
PARTY

Frequency Presetting and Custom Memory
selection
[Frequency Presetting]
1. Tune into the desired station.
* Refer to "MANUAL TUNING", "AUTO TUNING", or "DIRECT
TUNING" for tuning procedure.
2. Press the MEMORY button.
3. Press the STATION CALL button into which you wish to preset
the station.
* Use the STATION CALL buttons ({*1] — | *0]) to select a
STATION CH. Press once selects the 1 — 10 range, press twice
11 ~ 20 and press three times 21 — 30.

Once — STATION 3
Twice ~ STATION 13
Three times — STATION 23
* When "COMPLETE" is displayed, memorization is completed.

4. Select the same number as the STATION CH selected in operation

5. Press the MEMORY button.
§. Display the desired genre with the CUSTOM MEMORY SELECT.

* When "COMPLETE" is displayed, memorization is completed.
7. Repeat steps 1 to 6 to preset additional stations.
A total of 30 AM and FM stations may be preset. If you preset a
STATION CALL button into which a station has already been
memorized, the former station information will be erased and the
new station will be memorized in its place.
To program Custom Memory with STATION CALL buttons into
which stations have already been memorized, or to change
| memorized data, perform procedures 4 to 6.
Listening to Broadcasts Using Preset Tuning
Press the STATION CALL button into which the desired station has
been preset.
¢ Use the STATION CALL buttons ([*1] ~ [*0]) to select a
STATION CH. Press once selects the 1 — 10 range, press twice
11 — 20 and press three times 21 — 30,
Last station memory
When the POWER switch is pressed to turn power on, the last station
received before the power was turned off will be tuned in again.
When the power is ON, if the BAND button is pressed, the last station
received on that band will be tuned in again.
SHORT-TIME RECEPTION OF CONSECUTIVE
STATIONS — Memory scan
Reception of consecutive broadcast stations memorized in STATION
CALL buttons (each station is received for about five seconds).
You can scan all stations, or just the stations memorized in the custom
memory.

1. Display the desired genre using the CUSTOM MEMORY SELECT
button.
2. Press the SCAN button.
