SEARCH TUNING
Use search tuning to quickly search for a station.
Briefly press the BND key to select the desired waveband.
Press the B key or <@ key.
B® = higher frequency; < = lower frequency.
- You will receive a station after a short time.
To search for another station, press the same key again.
If no station is found after the whole band has been searched, the radio searches for
weaker stations.
:
Note:
If you have switched on the TA mode, the radio will only search for stations allowing
the reception of Traffic Announcements. (See 'TRAFFIC INFORMATION ON FM'.)
LOCAL / DISTANT
This function is only used together with SEARCH TUNING on FM.
- If search tuning stops too frequently (on FM bands only):
Press the LOC key for at least 2 seconds (until you hear a beep) to select LOCAL
mode. The display shows 'LOC'.
In the LOCAL mode the radio first searches for strong stations and then weak stations.
~ To return to DISTANT mode:
Press the LOC key for at least 2 seconds (until you hear a beep). 'LOC' disappears
from the display.
This is the preferred mode for search tuning in areas with weaker signals.
