Reading the Indicator Lights

The indicator lights on your computer provide information
about the computer's operation.

Caps Lock
Scroll Lock
Meaning
Computer is on
Green-Standby mode: press any key to
return to full power
Flashing green-Suspend mode: press
Suspend/Resume button to return to full
power
Orange-battery is charging normally
Green-battery is fully charged
Flashing orange-battery is not installed
correctly or is damaged
Computer is accessing the diskette drive
Computer is accessing the hard disk drive
Computer is accessing a PC card
Num Lock is on, which activates the
embedded numeric keypad
Caps Lock is on
Scroll Lock is on
