SET UP AND ASSEMBLY
Before using your Kenmore Stand Blender for the rst time, carefully unpack the appliance from
its packaging and check that all parts are present. Wipe all parts with a clean, damp cloth to
remove any dirt or dust and dry thoroughly.
WARNING - The blending blade is
extremely sharp. Use caution and
avoid contact with the cutting edges
when handling or cleaning.
1. Place the motor body on a dry, level surface and press
rmly to adhere the suction cups. Check that the speed
control dial is in the OFF position.
WARNING - Ensure that the speed control
dial is in the OFF position BEFORE positioning
the blending jar or plugging the blender into
the electrical outlet.
2. Carefully position the blending jar on motor base and
rotate the jar anti-clockwise to lock into place (Fig. 1).
Plug the blender into the electrical outlet.
WARNING - Ensure that the blending jar
and the lid are properly positioned before
operating the blender.
3. Place food pieces and liquids in the blending jar, making
sure the level comes above the minimum measurement
line and stays below the maximum measurement line.
4. Place the lid on the blender jar and press down rmly
to seal. Position the vent cap (if using) over the vent hole
and rotate it anti-clockwise to lock into place (Fig. 2).
Ensure that the spout cover is closed before operating.
5. Operate the blender according to the instructions on
the following pages.
WARNING - Do not attempt to operate
the blender empty. Doing so could damage
the motor and will void your warranty
