The connection line from the mass and max.
electrode to the signal conditioning
instrument is generally monitored on line
break with Ex-measuring systems and
overfill protections.
If conductive electrodes without Ex-version
are used (measuring system without Ex-
requirements) a resistor of 220 kOhm must
be mounted between mass and max.
electrode (between connection 1 and 3) for
monitoring of the connection line in the
connection box of the electrodes.
If this is not possible, it is necessary to
provide a bridge between terminal 3 and 4.

Note
In this case the monitoring of the mass and
max. electrodes and the connection lines are
inactive. Therefore also the fault signal is
ineffective.
