Procedure Procedure
1. Back up all server data.
2. If installed, remove the front bezel .
3. Power down the server.
4. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
5. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
6. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack .
Remove the server from the rack .
7. Remove the access panel .
8. Do one of the following:
Remove the primary PCI riser blank.
Remove the primary PCI riser cage.
9. If installed, remove the secondary PCI riser cage .
10. If installed, remove these server options from the system board:
Type-a modular controller
Media Module
Serial port
Energy pack and holder
11. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board.
12. Remove the rail.
a. Extend the rail.
b. Remove the rail from the server.
