Using the Time Counter

The time counter allows you to keep track of how much time (in hours, minutes, and
seconds) has elapsed on the video tape you're watching. The counter can also be useful
if you want to find a specific point on a pre-recorded tape.

While a tape is playing,
press the DISPLAY button
twice.

The time counter appears
in the upper left corner of
the screen.

Press the CLEAR button to
set the counter to
"00:00:00."

Press the DISPLAY button
twice again to remove the
time counter from the
screen.
For information on inserting
and playing tapes, see pages 5.1 and
5.2.
The counter displays time only
for recorded sections of tape. Blank
tapes or blank sections of tapes do
not affect the counter display.
The VCR automatically resets
the counter to "00:00:00" when you
eject a tape.
