Removing the Chassis from the Rack
Caution! It is dangerous for a single person to off-load the heavy chassis from the rack without
assistance. Be sure to have sufficient assistance supporting the chassis when removing it
from the rack. Use a lift.
1. Remove the screws that hold the front of the system to the rack.
2. Pull the chassis forward out the front of the rack until it stops.
3. Find the quick-release tab on each side of the chassis on the inner rails. Press down on
the quick-release tab and continue to pull the chassis out of the rack.
Warning: In any instance of pulling the system from the rack, always use a rack lift
and follow all associated safety precautions.
Slide rail mounted equipment is not to be used as a shelf or a work space.
