BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
• Clean before use the appliance with a damp cloth.
• During first use there could be some smoke and a burning smell. This happens because the appliance is new. It will disappear after a few minutes. This does not mean there is a malfunction and it will not cause one.

USE

• Connect the power supply, press the "ON/OFF" switch to turn it on, the indicator light will illuminate. Allow the appliance to warm up, after approximately 2 minutes of warming up the appliance will be ready for use.
• For a complete styling, the hair should be clean, dry and free from dirt, hair spray, creams, etc. (Of course, this hair straightener can always be used for quick touch-ups and rescues any time). Hair should be divided into several parts and operate part by part and by even pulling the hair downwards. Comb through this section to smooth out any snarls. Hold ends taut with one hand. Part off a section of hair to be straightened, starting at the back neck area towards the crown, moving along the sides and finishing at the front top area.
• Open the clamp and grip hair within one inch of scalp. Hold in place for about 5 to 10 seconds for fine hair or 10 to 12 seconds for thick or coarse hair.
• Carefully, release pressure on the handles and let the hair slip out from the plates.
• Repeat the treatment until you have a satisfied result.
• Turn off the appliance and unplug.
• Allow the hairstraightener to cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe appliance surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit.

Storage

• Unplug the appliance, allow to cool, and store in its box or in a dry place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in.
• Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance.
• Never hang unit by the cord. Store the cord loosely coiled. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.
