Reassembly
1. Clean all parts thoroughly with dish soap and water before assembling, including the rubber cap on
the ceramic seal (8).
NOTE: If the pump remains out of service longer than one week, the components must be
installed dry and without lubrication.
2. Push the ceramic seal into the adapter with the smooth surface of the seal facing outwards.
• Wear gloves to avoid contaminating the seal face.
3. Install the seal plate (7) on the motor.
4. Lubricate the rotating seal (6) with soapy water and slip it onto the shaft with the carbon ring
towards the ceramic seal.
5. Replace the impeller (5) and the diffuser (3).
6. Replace the casing (2), making sure that the gasket is not damaged and is in place.
7. Reconnect the tubes to the casing and pressure switch.
8. Replace the drain and fill plugs.

Check all electrical connections for security.
Check breaker and fuses.
Close pump pressure switch.
Prime pump.
Relocate the pump closer to the water source.
Inspect foot valve, making sure it is submerged.
Clean or replace as needed.
Inspect suction line. Repair or replace as needed.
Move pump closer to water source.
Inspect foot valve. Clean or replace as needed.
Inspect the suction and discharge lines. Clean or
replace as needed.
Inspect parts. Clean as needed.
Relocate the pump closer to the water source.
Ensure proper gauge wire has been used.
Clean as needed.
Check to ensure voltage indicator on pump
matches voltage at power source.
Replace air volume control.
Check fittings. Replace tank.
Adjust setting on pressure switch. Refer to
"Changing the Voltage" on page
