Unit Status
• Backlight Status—shows OK if the electronics mod-
ule detects that both banks of backlights are functioning
normally. Shows Failed if one or both of the backlight
banks is not drawing the correct amount of current
• Internal Temperature—the current internal tempera-
ture at one point on the backplane of the LCD panel.
For more information, see "Internal Temperature" on
page 94.
• Fans—current state of each fan. When any fan fails, the
backlights go off and you can't see this menu.
• Interlock—whether interlocks are Ok (closed) or an
interlock is open. When any interlock is open, the back-
lights go off, and you can't see this menu.
• Last Fault—Last Interlock event and the time it
occurred. This menu shows that the last event to turn
off the backlights was that an interlock opened. In the
example above, this happened 300 hours and 50 min-

the main menu. Neither of these menus have any control
over the GX40, so there is no highlight selector in any of
them.
• Commands Received—the number of individual com-
mand strings received by this unit.
• Replies Sent—the number of individual reply strings
sent by this unit.
• Last Packet Type—Type of command most recently
received, usually Operation.
• Last Packet Address—Type of address on the last
packet received:
• Global—sent to more than one unit, either all of
them or a group of them that included this one.
• This Cube Alone—sent the this unit exclusively,
and this unit should have sent a response.
• Not This Cube—sent to another unit or units, but
not this one.
• Not Addressed—command had no address, so
only the first unit in the serial string could have
acted on the command.
• Most Recent—The hex and ascii data most recently
