IR response disabled via RS232
Remote batteries are dead or improperly installed
Remote was not aimed at the IR receiver
Something is blocking the IR receiver

Possible Resolution
Re-enable IR response using RS232 commands
Replace or reinstall batteries
The IR receiver is in the lower right corner (in landscape
mode; in portrait mode, it is in the lower left corner) of the
screen bezel behind a small hole
Remove the obstruction
