    Before using the instrument for the first time, verify that it oper- ates normally to ensure that no damage occurred during storage or shipping. If you find any damage, contact your authorized Hioki distributor or reseller.     Overview Chapter 1 1.1 Product Overview The FT6380-50 Clamp on Earth Tester makes grounding resis- tance measurements simply by being clamped to multiple- grounded ground wires. No auxiliary grounding rod is needed, and there is no need to disconnect the ground wire from the grounding rod.
