1.6 DDR SDRAM Installation

1.6.1 To Install DDR Memory Module

This motherboard supports a maximized 4GB DDR
SDRAM. It provides 4 x 184-pin DDR sockets. It supports
64MB to 1GB DDR memory module.
1. The DDR socket has a "Plastic Safety Tab" and the DDR
memory module has an asymmetrical notch", so the DDR
memory module can only fit into the slot in one direction.
2. Push the tabs out. Insert the DDR memory modules into the
socket at a 90-degree angle then push down the module
vertically to fit it into place.
3. To install Single-channel transfer, DDR SDRAM modules can
be populated in any one of the DIMM slot. The module den-
sity and Band-width can be different from each other.
4. To install Dual-channel transfer, DDR SDRAM modules should
be populated in pair, and each module of the pair should be
identical in density and Band-width and chip. The modules
should also be of the same brand.
