CARE AND MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE CONDENSER COIL
for efficient operation, it is important that the
Figure 4
condenser surface be kept free of dust, dirt, and lint.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coil and
the fins at least once per month.
Remove the screws holding the vent cover on the
bottom rear of the unit to access the condenser.
(See figure 4.) Removing all screws and both
panels will allow for the condenser to be partially
pulled out for cleaning. It can also be cleaned by
just removing the panel that has the grill, though
access will be limited. Please be aware that number
and placement of screws can vary by model.
Use a commercial condenser coil cleaner, available
from any kitchen equipment retailer. Brush the
condenser fins from top to bottom, not side to side.
After cleaning, straighten any bent condenser fins
with a fin comb.
CLEANING THE FAN BLADES AND MOTOR
If necessary, clean the fan blades and motor with a soft cloth. If it is necessary to wash the fan blades,
cover the fan motor to prevent moisture damage.
CLEANING THE INTERIOR
When cleaning the cabinet interior, use warm water and mild soap. DO NOT use steel wool, abrasive
cleaners, caustic soap or bleach as those may damage the surfaces.
Door gaskets should be washed on a weekly basis. Simply remove the door gasket from the frame of the
door, soak in warm water and soap for 30 minutes, dry with a soft cloth, and replace on the door. Be sure
to check that they are properly sealing after they are replaced.
Periodically remove the shelves and pilasters from the unit and clean them with mild soap and warm
water. To remove the pilasters, first remove the shelves and shelf brackets, and then simply lift the pilaster
up and out.
:
wARNING
ALWAYS disconnect the power cord before cleaning any parts of the unit.
