c) When transporting or storing the hedge
trimmer, always fi t the blade cover. Proper
handling of the hedge trimmer will decrease
the risk of personal injury from the blades.
d) When clearing jammed material or
servicing the unit, make sure all power
switches are off and the battery pack is
removed or disconnected. Unexpected
actuation of the hedge trimmer while clearing
jammed material or servicing may result in
serious personal injury.
e) Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated
gripping surfaces only, because the
blade may contact hidden wiring. Blades
contacting a "live" wire may make exposed
metal parts of the hedge trimmer "live" and
could give the operator an electric shock.

Keep all power cords and cables away
from cutting area. Power cords or cables
may be hidden in hedges or bushes and can
be accidentally cut by the blade.
g) Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad
weather conditions, especially when
there is a risk of lightning. This decreases
the risk of being struck by lightning.

Before you start trimming hedges, check
the hedge for hidden objects, such as
wire fences.
Hold the hedge trimmer correctly with
both hands.
Always ensure that all handles and
guards are fitted before using the pole
hedge trimmer.
Do not attempt to use an incomplete
machine or one that is provided with an
unauthorized change.
Before cleaning the hedge trimmer, turn
off the tool and remove battery.
Check blades for damage regularly,
if damaged, have them repaired
immediately.
Never allow children to use the pole
hedge trimmer.
Position the hedge trimmer guard over
the blades, make sure that the blade is
not exposed after use.
Do not use the tool in bad weather
conditions, especially not during
thunderstorms.
