This PCIe Gen 2.0 (x2) expansion card has built-in ASMedia 1062R controller with two SATA ports for supporting RAID 0, RAID 1, SPAN, and non-RAID mode. -

If the drives are brand new and are not already partitioned, you can go ahead and start RAID creation right away. If the drives are already partitioned and have data, make sure to backup first and choose “Remove RAID” to return the drives to original factory state for best performance with ECS03.
