External Connect

(Press the "MENU" key → Select "External Connect")
You can connect e606 with a PC by Bluetooth™ technology or with a USB cable. You can establish a dialup
connection for the PC through e606. This function is only available in the 3G mode.
Please check that your operator allows use of your e606 as a modem to connect to the internet.
The following items are described:

e606 supports Bluetooth technology. Connecting e606 to a PC with Bluetooth technology enables the PC to
use e606 just like a modem to establish a PPP connection to an Internet service provider by dialup.
To display Bluetooth profile information, select the device name on Paired Devices. Refer to Bluetooth™
on page 92 for details. Bluetooth profile information stored in e606 are as follows:
Device name: The device's name.
Bluetooth address: The device addresses used in Bluetooth communications.
Protection setting: Whether to protect the device information on the device list from automatic deletion.
Settings: Protection, or Unprotect
Device type: The device types recognised by e606 are Computer, Telephone and Other.
Service type: The service types recognised by e606 are Positioning, Networking, Rendering, Capturing,
Object transfer, Audio, Telephony and Information.
For various settings to connect a Bluetooth device and e606, refer to Bluetooth™ on page 92.
To Establish a Dialup connection for a PC by Bluetooth

Start up the external connection

Put e606 in standby mode for
Bluetooth
Do this
Press the MENU key, and select External Connect.
Select Bluetooth.
Bluetooth Stndby is displayed.
