HOW TO USE

1. Open the lock by aligning the factory combination (0-0-0-5) to Guide Points (C) and pull out the Lock Post (B)
   
   
2. Turn the Reset Wheel (A) clockwise by 45 degree until it stops
3. Turn the dials to your new combination
   
   
4. After setting your new combination, turn the Reset Wheel counter clockwise by 45 degree until it stops and is back to original position.
5. Verify your new combination before using your lock. Insert the Lock Post (B) into the lock head but do not turn the dials. Pull out the Lock Post (B). Now your lock is ready to use.
   

PROPER BICYCLE LOCK UP

Place the bike against an anchored stationary object. Place the Kryptonite cable around the stationary object and through the bike frame. Remove key.
Check the lock before leaving the bike to be sure it is properly secured. Whenever possible, capture the anchored stationary object, the frame, and rear wheel within the cable.

Tips:

• Always lock a vehicle in a well-lit area with high foot traffic.
• Always lock a vehicle to a solid object that the vehicle cannot be lifted over.
• Make sure the object that the vehicle is locked to cannot be cut.
• Where possible always make sure the vehicle frame and both wheels are secure.
• Lock according to value of the vehicle – frame, back wheel, front wheel.
• Get the tightest fit possible! The less room inside the u-lock or chain the better as it makes it difficult for thieves to use their tools.
• Position the lock off the ground with the keyhole facing down.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Lubricate the lock several times a year to keep the lock in its best working condition. Always use a lubricant that has only a silicone, graphite or Teflon base. Face the lock cylinder upright and spray or pour the lubricant into the cylinder. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Place a rag on the workstation and turn the lock over onto the rag for a few minutes.

Note: Do not use WD-40! WD-40 is a solvent, not a lubricant and will remove lubricant in the cylinder.

For as long as the customer owns the Kryptonite lock, if the combination is lost and it has been registered with Kryptonite, call Kryptonite to obtain the combination. If the combination changes after registration, please be sure to update the registration with Kryptonite.
