    Introduction This manual informs the operator about the safe use and daily maintenance of the assembly partly completed Palletiser HR9. This assembly will be referred to as ‘machine’ in the rest of this manual. The machine is intended to be assembled with a control system, safety devices and other ma- chines.

    Introduction 1.5 Warranty Qimarox guarantees the machine from the delivery date. Please refer to the provisions as mentioned in the order confirmation of this order for the spe- cific warranty terms. The warranty applies only if the machine is used in accordance with the specifications men- tioned and if the operating and maintenance instructions are followed.

    Safety precautions 2 Safety precautions 2.1 Safety and warning symbols Various safety and warning symbols are used in this manual.     Safety precautions 2.3 Operator Only qualified personnel may operate the machine. A qualified operator has experience with operating machinery and is informed about the contents of this manual. WARNING The safety precautions in this manual must be observed. Non-compliance with these precautions can result in unacceptable risk.

    Safety precautions 2.5 Safety 2.5.1 General At the time of delivery, the machine only complies with the essential health and safety requirements of the European Union stated on the enclosed Declaration of Incorporation for Machinery. Before the machine can be put into operation, the other requirements must be met. This means that the machine then complies fully with the Machinery Directive and can be safely operated and maintained if all safety measures are observed.

    Safety precautions 2.5.2 Working at heights, under lifts and under loads Wear a safety helmet when working at heights, under lifts and under loads. Wearing a safety helmet is mandatory if the risks entailed by the work necessitate this. This is highly recommended when working under loads, for instance, where there is a risk of prod- ucts falling.

    Safety precautions 2.5.3 Hazardous areas The completed machine can be divided into multiple hazardous areas For example: • Zone 1: Supply conveyor. • Zone 2: Palletiser and PRmk10 lift (partly completed machine). • Zone 3: Pallet supply. • Zone 4: Pallet output. An example of these hazardous zones is shown in the following figure.

    Safety precautions 2.6 Safety devices The machine is equipped with a mechanical locking device of the lift as a safety device. In order to fully comply with the Machinery Directive, a number of additional safety devices must be added before the machine can be put into service.

    Safety precautions 2.6.1 Emergency stop buttons / Machine stop buttons: Partly completed machines must be fitted with emergency stop buttons and/or machine stop buttons. The emergency stop buttons or machine stop buttons can be placed in the following positions: • On the control cabinet.

This fencing shall comply with stand- ards EN-ISO 13857 and EN 619. • To protect the operator from the dangers behind these fences. The safety fencing must always be placed around the machine.

    Safety precautions 2.6.3 Safety light curtains Figure 2-14: Safety light curtains (example) The completed machine can be equipped with safety light curtains: • In the opening of the fence for the pallet dispenser (1). • In the opening of the fence above the pallet outfeed (2). If a safety light curtain is triggered, the zone in question stops.

    Safety precautions 2.6.4 Mechanical locking device lift Figure 2-15: Mechanical locking device pallet lift The pallet lift of the machine is equipped with a mechanical protection against the uncontrolled lowering of the carrier. The protection is a lock which is activated automatically when entering the hazardous zone of the lift.

    Maintenance 4.3 Process description The full description of the operation can be found in the manuals of the various (main) components. 1. The products (boxes) are supplied to the palletiser via roller conveyors, conveyor belts and right-angle transfer devices. 2. Empty pallets are supplied automatically from a pallet dispenser. An empty pallet is conveyed from the pallet dispenser to the pallet lift by a pallet conveyor (not in this de- livery) and positioned there.
