- Page 2 GHUR intermediate cooler Design GHUR is an open intermediate cooler. It is used in two-stage refrigeration plants for mixing of the discharge gas from the low-stage side and the two-phase fluid from the high-stage side. Option: for increased separator effect, a demister can be added. Function The low-pressure discharge line and the two-phase line from the high-pressure side, enter the vessel through the same end cover.

The primer is not intended for outdoor storage. If the heat exchanger is not to be placed in imme- diate service, take precautions to prevent rusting or contamination.

Do not remove protective plugs and covers until immediately before installation. The entire system must be clean before starting the operation. When fitting the tube connections, make sure that the load from the piping on the connections is kept small and insignificant as the vessel is not designed to be an anchor point in the piping system.
