Safety measures

It is suggested to verify the proper assembly and the efficiency of the
axle fixing of the rear wheel before using the hand-bike and always after
removing or assembling the rear wheels
In order to maintain the hand-bike efficient and safe it is suggested to
perform a maintenance schedule, regularly checking the functioning of its
parts
Ineffective maintenance operations and improper use of the device could
cause damage ad injury to the user
In case of transport by plane is recommended to reduce the tyre pressure
Before transferring from/to the hand-bike remember to activate the
parking brake

Maintenance, inspections and controls

 Before each trip, check the efficiency of each brake.
Weekly:
 Check the tyre pressure. Each tyre shows on the lateral bands the
maximum pressure for which they were designed. A flat tyre affects the
agility of the handbike and the required pushing effort.
Quarterly:
 Check the wear of the tyres.
 Check the efficiency of the bearings on the wheels.
 Lubricate transmission parts (all moving mechanical parts including gears,
chain, wheel hubs and cranks).
It is recommended to refer only to authorized and qualified personnel to
perform adjustments and components replacement on the hand-bike.
