5. Click the Modem tab to display the modem settings and adjust the

6. If you are attached to a network, click the Network tab to display
the network settings and adjust the options as needed. See
"Conducting a HotSync operation via a network" later in this
chapter for more information.
7. Click OK.
Chapter 7
Identifies the port that HotSync Manager uses
to communicate with the cradle. The Palm
Desktop for IBM WorkPad installation
software automatically detects the port to
which you connected the cradle. If necessary,
you can change the port selection.
Note: Your PC companion cannot share this
port with an internal modem or other
device.
Determines the speed at which data is
transferred between your PC companion and
Palm Desktop software for IBM WorkPad. Try
the As Fast As Possible rate first, and adjust
downward if you experience problems. This
setting allows Palm Desktop software for IBM
WorkPad and your PC companion to find and
use the fastest speed.
