The ip name-server Global Configuration mode command defines the available
name servers. Use the no form of this command to remove a name server.
Syntax
ip name-server
server-address
server-address1
no ip name-server [
Parameters
server-address
Default Configuration
No name server addresses are specified.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode
User Guidelines
The preference of the servers is determined by the order in which they were
entered.
Up to 8 servers can be defined using one command or using multiple commands.
Example
The following example sets the available name server.
Console(config)# ip name-server 176.16.1.18

— Specifies IP addresses of the name server.
