Inserting/Removing SIM Card On/Off Button Install SIM Card 1. Insert SIM Card into the Slot with SIM contact facing up, and press firmly. Once you hear a “click” sound, Fig.2 release. (As shown in Fig.2) To remove SIM Card, press firmly the side of SIM card SIM Slot in the same manner until you hear a “click” sound, and release. Once your SIM Card has been inserted or removed, the Wi-Fi Router will automatically reboot. Connecting Your Device to the Wi-Fi Router Hotspot On/Off Connecting your wireless device* Button 1. When switched on, your Wi-Fi Router will automatically transmit a wireless signal; this is sometimes called an “access point” (AP) “hotspot” or indeed “network” 2. Connecting your wireless device to the Wi-Fi Router network will first require you to identify the right network name (SSID) and KEY (wireless password) 3. On your wireless device, search for the Network that matches the exact information displayed on the Wi-Fi Router. Once selected, you will be prompted to enter the KEY (password) then press connect on your device. Press the on/off button several times to scroll to the corresponding screen, 4. FAQs (frequently Asked Questions) § Q: My Wi-Fi Router doesn’t switch-on after pressing the on/off button, what do I do? § A: Make sure that you have charged the battery first with a full charge, and that you are using either the USB cable provided, or have access to alternative USB mains adaptor. Always use genuine products from a reputable Retailer – (see page 3 for more details) § Q: I have inserted my SIM card, but I’m not getting a GSM signal from my Internet provider. § A: First, ensure you have correctly inserted the SIM card into the Wi-fi Router (see page 4 for more details). NOTE: if your SIM card is PIN activated, then you will be required to enter the Wi-Fi Router menu to key in your PIN code to then surf the Internet. In addition, (in most cases) the Wi-Fi router will automatically set the APN settings (username and password) supplied by your Internet Operator. However, there are some instances where you may have to enter these details manually. Again, you can change these settings in the Wi-Fi Router management menu. If you are unsure what to enter, it is advisable to check with your GSM Internet operator for the precise details. Finally, if you’re outside your home country, you may have to enable the roaming feature inside the Wi-Fi Router menu to have Internet privileges enabled. § Q: My device is not an Android; can I use the Mifi APP? A: Only Android-based devices currently can use the Mifi APP. However, all non-Android devices can login § manually to the Wi-Fi Router management menu by using their browser application instead – (see page 6 for more details) § Q: I manually typed in the local IP address https://192.168.5.1 but I am unable to login to the menu? A. Firstly make sure that you have cleared all cookies and the browser cache is empty. Check to ensure your § browser is closed, and that no other browser applications are simultaneously open (to avoid potential conflict). In addition, check that your device is connected to the Wi-Fi Router – (see page 5 for more details) § Q: Can I factory reset my Wi-Fi Router? § A. Yes you can, either by pressing the reset button next to the SIM Card slot, or within the Wi-Fi router management menu. WARNING: if you have not made a backup or record of your stored details, these could be permanently lost.
