MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE AFTER USE
How to maintain
1. Put the microphone cap on the microphone with the " " mark on the cap facing up
and turn the cap in the direction of the arrow to attach it.
2. Close the buckle securely and clean the case with a cloth moistened with water or
wash it with tap water which is flowing gently, to remove foreign matter or salt. (Do not
wash the case with water at high pressure. It could cause water to enter.) Use the brush
(provided) to wipe off the sand and mud from the seams around the case, switches,
buttons, buckle, etc.
3. Wipe off the case with a dry cloth.
4. Release the buckle.
Refer to "How to open and close the case" on page 8.
5. Check that there is no water on the buckle, open the case and dry the SM-SP1A.
NOTES:
• Do not dry the VM-SP1A forcibly using a drier or heater.
• Never use cleaning chemical such as alcohol, thinner, benzine, etc.
• Do not rub the lens with force. The lens could be scratched. Always use a soft cloth.
• Do not lubricate the metal sections.
How to replace the water-resistant seal
Replace the water-resistant seal using the following procedure. Disconnect the power
supply first. Coat the new water-resistant seal with grease (provided) to prevent wear.
1. Open the case so the end of the bracket is positioned as shown in the figure and pull
the bracket forward to remove it.
2. Push the power connector to disconnect it.
