Taking a picture

You can take a picture almost any time the camera is on, no
matter what is showing on the Display. To take a picture:
Frame your subject in the viewfinder, and then press the
Shutter
button. The camera adjusts exposure, and then takes
the picture.
If the viewfinder light is blinking, you must wait before taking a
picture. This means that the camera is initializing, the flash is
charging, or another situation may exist. For troubleshooting
information, refer to Chapter 5.
NOTE
The camera has two modes of operation, Preview
mode and Playback mode. When you turn the
camera on, it is in Preview mode, which is the default
mode of the camera. Preview mode is discussed later
in this chapter, and Playback mode is discussed in
Chapter 3, Reviewing Your Images.
