150 SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Probable Cause
Graphics display controller.
Splash Screen image has errors.
Fan is not connected or might have
malfunctioned.
Fan is not connected, might have
malfunctioned.
Power Supply fan not seated properly. Reseat the power supply connector.
Diskette controller circuitry or diskette
drive circuitry incorrect.
Front USB is not connected.
The 4-pin fan connector from the
power supply is not connected.
PCI Express cards not seated
properly.
Hard drive is about to fail. (Some hard
drives have a firmware patch that will
fix an erroneous error message.)
Recommended Action

Reseat the graphics card (if applicable).

Clear CMOS.
3
Verify that the monitor is attached and turned on.

Replace the graphics controller.
Install latest version of ROMPaq to restore image.

Reseat fan cable.

Reseat the fan.

Replace the fan.

Reseat chassis, rear chassis, or front chassis fan
cable.
