Instructions in this chapter assume that for the B1000/C3000
workstation, you are using the HP-UX 10.20 operating system and the
Workstation Additional Core Enhancements (ACE) for HP-UX 10.20
(June, 1999), and for the C3700 workstation, you are using the HP-UX
11.0
operating
system
Enhancements (ACE) for HP-UX 11.0 (November, 1999) or HP-UX 11i
operating system and the Hardware Enablement Bundle (HWE) for
HP-UX 11i (June, 2001) with the HP CDE interface. Information for the
HP CDE interface can be found in the HP CDE Getting Started Guide.
Always wear a properly grounded wrist strap when reconfiguring your
computer with internal devices. For details on electrostatic discharge,
read the section "Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Precautions" in the
preface of this document.
Always unplug the system unit power cord from the electrical
outlet or power source before opening the system unit.
