Audio Interfaces

The Model B132L/B160L workstation has audio input and output capability through external input
and output connectors on the rear panel, Headphones (headphone–out) and Microphone
(Microphone–in) connectors on the front panel plus a built–in speaker. The rear panel contains the
Line–IN (Stereo line–in) and Mic , and Audio OUT (Stereo line–out) and Headphones connectors.
Additional controls for audio include a MUTE button and a VOLUME CONTROL knob located on
the front panel.
The audio connectors are standard audio mini–jacks. Hewlett–Packard recommends using
gold–plated plugs available through audio retailers for best quality recording and playback through
the external connectors. The following is a summary of the workstation audio features:
