Replacing the Fan

Replacing the Fan
1 Remove the computer's cover and the front chassis (described in
this chapter).
2 Remove the processor (described in this chapter).
3 Remove the old fan from the processor by unfastening the four
screws that secure it in position.
4 Fasten the new fan to the processor, ensuring that the fan's power
connector is nearest to the system board.
5 Replace the processor (described in this chapter).
6 Replace the front chassis and the computer's cover (described in this
chapter).
