Processor-Local Bus Devices

• Intel Pentium II microprocessor (single or dual)
• Intel 440LX AGPset
Single or dual Pentium II processors are used in all models. Both the
microprocessor and 512 KB of Level II cache memory are contained within
the single integrated circuit package. Dual processor upgrade kits include the
Pentium II processor, heat sink and VRM.
Matrox Millennium II AGP graphics controllers are standard for all models
(refer to page 12 for details). The AGP is an extension of the DIB (Dual
Interface Bus) Pentium II processor architecture.
PCI Bus Devices
• Ultra SCSI I/O subsystem
• HP FastRAID Accessory Kit (some models)
Based on two separate Adaptec® SCSI controllers:
• 16-bit Wide Ultra SCSI controller, based on the Adaptec® AIC7880 chip,
provides transfer rates of up to 40 MB/s, and is entirely dedicated to inter-
nal hard disks.
• 8-bit Narrow Ultra SCSI controller, based on the Adaptec® AIC7860 chip,
provides transfer rates of up to 20 MB/s, and is used to control other in-
ternal and external devices.
SCSI accessories can be configured using the SCSISelect
accessible by pressing

• SCSI device configuration (assigning of device IDs to SCSI accessories)
• Array 1000 BIOS (only available with HP FastRAID Accessory Kit)
• Advanced configuration options
