2.4.2 CHIPSET

The Intel 815 chipset consists of an 82815 Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH), an 82801
I/O Controller Hub (ICH), and an 82802 FirmWare Hub (FWH). Table 2-2 lists the integrated
functions provided by the chipset.

2.4.3 SUPPORT COMPONENTS

Input/output functions not provided by the chipset are handled by other support components. Some
of these components also provide "housekeeping" and various other functions as well. Table 2-3
shows the functions provided by the support components.
