Receiving Methods

Your machine provides you with several modes for receiving faxes. To determine which
mode best suits your requirements, refer to the table below:

Once you have decided which receive mode is suitable for your needs, set the mode
by pressing Function, Receive Mode, then ¨ or ∂. You can change the mode at any
time.

Receiving Faxes
Main Use Operation
Fax/Tel The machine
automatically switches
between fax and voice
calls. It receives faxes
automatically and rings
for voice calls.
Tel The machine rings for
every call, whether a
fax call or a voice call.
For a fax call, you have
to manually activate
reception of a fax.
Fax The machine answers
all calls as fax calls. It
receives faxes
automatically and
disconnects voice calls.
Fax/Tel The machine receives
documents automatically
and the answering
machine records voice
messages.
Fax/Tel The machine rings
differently depending on
whether a call is a fax
or voice call.
Requirements
