Unplug the MultiPASS only when it is in standby mode (date and Receive mode shown in the
LCD display), and the cartridge holder is in its home position on the right. If you unplug the unit
while it is printing, or move the cartridge holder from its home position, the BJ cartridge will not
be capped and can dry out.

Replacing an Ink Tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge

The LCD display will indicate which ink tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge needs replacing.

Leave the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge in the MultiPASS when replacing an ink tank.
1. Make sure the MultiPASS is plugged in.
2. Open the document tray.

Replace the BCI-21 Color Ink Tank (left tank).
