Critical error messages

Critical error messages can indicate some kind of failure. Cycling the power might fix the problem. If a
critical error persists, the device might require service.

Problem solving
Description
A supply is low and using Override may result
in unsatisfactory print quality.
The device has cleared job settings.
A new supply has been installed that is not
made by HP. One of these four messages is
displayed until an HP supply is installed or
(Select) is pressed.

Re-enter any appropriate job settings.
If you believe you purchased an HP supply,

as a result of using non-HP supplies is not
