This chapter provides guidelines for routine care, steps to replace
the pointing device cap, and preparations for traveling with or
shipping the computer.
Routine Care
A few precautions and a little routine care will keep the computer
in good condition and working properly:
Avoid exposing the computer to direct sunlight or strong
ultraviolet light for extended periods of time.
Keep the computer away from excessive moisture and
temperature extremes. Do not expose the computer to liquids
or precipitation.
Occasionally wipe the exterior of the computer and screen
with a soft, damp cloth moistened only with water. Avoid
scratching the surface of the screen.
Do not spray liquid directly on the computer screen or allow
excess liquid to drip down inside the computer.
13
CAUTION:
Damage to internal components may result if liquids
drip inside the computer. Soap or other cleaning products can
damage the screen and discolor the plastic.
